Claudia Toonen

I’m a Communication Arts major with a Digital Studies certificate at UW-Madison, passionate about sports marketing, social media, and event planning. As captain of the UW Cheer Team, I lead with energy and resilience, managing our social media presence, organizing team events, and coordinating youth and college prep clinics. What sets me apart is my ability to stay positive and adaptable under pressure, motivating others while creating engaging experiences. My experience cheering at major athletic events and tournaments has given me a strong appreciation for the behind-the-scenes work that makes game days memorable. I’m currently gaining hands-on experience with athlete brand partnerships and large-scale fundraising events. Looking ahead, I aim to build a career in sports marketing and event management, creating experiences that excite fans and strengthen athletic communities.
